Sustainability reports
The sustainability report is part of Grupo Tragsa's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy. It is a public report published every year about the corporate position of the Group and its activities developed in accordance with economic, environmental, social and ethical sustainability. The document is addressed to all the stakeholders, both internal and external: human team, shareholders, clients, suppliers, collaborating companies and the society in general.
The most widespread initiative for the elaboration of these types of reports is the one proposed by Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). It is a standardized model that assesses CSR through the so-called "performance indicators", organized in three categories: economic, environmental and social. Grupo Tragsa has written its Sustainability Reports in accordance with this method and was granted with the highest award by the GRI, as recognition of its information and transparency level.
In its first Sustainability Report, for 2005, Grupo Tragsa was the first public company in the world that received the award "In Accordance" of the GRI. With its second Report, 2006, the Group also became the first Spanish public company that received the award A+, recognition granted in all the reports it has published up to now.
This is the second consecutive year that Grupo Tragsa presents in electronic format its sustainability report and annual report for the financial year 2010. This measure entailed a saving of 0.410 t of paper, with an estimated reduction of 0.77 t of CO2.
