In 2004 Grupo Tragsa decides to actively participate in the non-governmental social initiatives aiming at meeting the vital needs of the unprivileged populations in developing countries.
The “Solidarity Fund of Grupo Tragsa” was constituted with this objective thanks to the contribution of the Group's economic activity.
The Solidarity Committee, made up of Labor Union Representatives from Tragsa and Tragsatec, and from the Group's Management Board, is responsible for the management of this Fund. Every year, they choose the projects to which the economic aid of the fund is granted, they monitor and supervise them, and devise the bases for the new annual calls.
Current balance:
- 16 coworker DNGOs,
- 21 subsidized projects,
- 12 countries that receive aids,
- Over 1.300.000 euros contributed by Grupo Tragsa.
The call for Solidarity Projects of 2013 is currently under study.
