Project: Construction of a heliport and its corresponding hangar for maritime rescue services in Cee (A Coruñ Activity: Infrastructures Product: Airstrips and heciports Geographic data: Cee, A Coruña, España Start date: June 2011 End date: April 2012 Construction of a heliport for maritime rescue services, complying with the national civil aviation regulations and safety standards for aircraft and users. We studied two ways of directing landing and takeoff compatible with the standards on noise pollution and restriction of obstacles. The work was structured around four main activities: - Earth moving work, which, due to the topography of the land, accounted for 20.80% of the budget, for clearings, excavations and embankments for the platforms, as well as the bondstone walls for containment of the slopes. - The construction of the hangar, which accounted for 35% of the budget, included building the foundation using micropiling and footings, containment of slopes, assembling its metal structure, roof, enclosure, and building interior modules for its habitability: warehouses, sleeping quarters, toilets and changing rooms. - Laying the pavements and road surfaces, work that amounted to 13.60% of the total cost, included laying the rigid pavements of the parking and landing platforms, and the flexible pavements of the taxiways and access roads. - Finally, the additional facilities, which accounted for 30.60% of the budget, involved making connections for the wastewater system, electricity, installation of the telecommunications network, setting up the airport traffic light system, markers and runway, and gantry for lifting heavy loads, along with other additional activities such as the plumbing and sanitation system and other prevention and safety facilities as measures against fires, installations for fuels, lightning and fencing of the area.
