The forestry plans for regional areas require having instruments for sustainable development and management of all the forests and wooded areas, and therefore the states must establish a strategic planning framework of their forestry policy that allows them to manage the forests appropriately

Within this framework of activities, the regional government of Extremadura has taken on the task of creating the Plan for Managing the Forest Resources of the region of Ambroz (Cáceres), as it considers it necessary to continue the planning of the territory, organizing the spaces and forest resources of the region, so as to allow a proper, long-term and sustainable use.
The Forestry Plan for Extremadura establishes the Forest Resources Management Plans, for its instrumental development, such that they provide guiding criteria for sustainable forest management and organization agreed with the local agents and entities.
