Project: Technical assistance in controlling the sanitary quality of water Activity: Health and Sanitation Product: Public health Geographic data: Madrid, España Start date: September 2014 End date: August 2016 Water is one of the elements most closely linked to health in our environment. It is essential to keep strict control of the sanitary conditions in drinking water, bathing water and in pools. Water management is a critical sector that involves suppliers and local and regional authorities, all coordinated by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality (MSSSI). The Ministry has information systems implemented in different areas that are a key element in this coordination effort: SINAC (drinking water), NÁYADE (bathing water) and SILOÉ (pools). Thousands of customers of Administrations and companies across the country are continuously registering vast amounts of information on water supplies, beaches or bathing facilities, and Tragsatec provides the backoffice to maintain the systems operation, collaborating in the management of requests, resolving queries, analysis and monitoring of incidents, functional development of new versions and preparing development reports. Within the arena of sanitary water quality, it also supports MSSSI in the preparation of scientific and technical reports, preparing responses to inquiries (made by any person, agency or body), updating internet platform content, supporting regulatory development and supporting different working groups. TRAGSATEC has carried out these jobs for MSSSI since 2006.
