This intervention for the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality (MSSSI) addresses environmental risks to health caused by extreme temperatures, air quality (ambient and indoor), noise and vibration, electromagnetic fields, ionizing radiation and climate change.

Environmental factors impact upon 85 of the 102 categories of diseases and injuries listed in the world health report, prepared annually by the World Health Organization. According to this organization, a healthier environment would prevent up to 13 million deaths every year. In developed countries, it would significantly reduce the incidence of cancers, cardiovascular disease, asthma, lower respiratory tract infections, musculoskeletal diseases, road traffic injuries, poisonings, and drownings.
Tragsatec's activities in this arena include tasks such as gathering information from specialized sources, preparing technical and scientific reports, establishing a system of indicators linking health and the environment (to identify trends, quantify the impact of policies and signal priorities for research and development), web content management, support for working groups, technical committees and outreach activities, training, education, social participation and collaboration between different administrations and institutions.
Tragsatec has carried out these tasks for MSSSI since 2011.
