Project: Plant Health Alert and Information Network (RAIF) Activity: Health and Sanitation Product: Plant health Geographic data: Sevilla, España Start date: March 2011 End date: April 2016 The RAIF is a large Plant Health Information Network capable of managing reliable and secure information on the incidence of pests and diseases in the most important crops in Andalusia. The main functions implemented by the RAIF include: -Provide a tool to the Administration and farmers for decision-making and planning of actions in the arena of plant health. -Have reliable and safe information available on the incidence of pests and diseases in the crops. -Provide a platform for public awareness: website, factsheets, social networks, etc. -Coordination of Integrated Production Groups and Integrated Treatment Groups in Agriculture. Establishment of working protocols and unification of information. -Tracking in major crops: with more than 6,500 observation points, 750 technicians and 209 agrometeorological stations. -Publication of a climate newsletter that provides, through a virtual map, information for the control of pests and diseases -Publication of RAIF's digital magazine Tragsatec has carried out these activities for the Government of Andalusia since 1995.
