This project consisted of conducting livestock sanitation campaigns, which included both fieldwork and laboratory work related to bovine tuberculosis and brucellosis, ovine and caprine brucellosis, contagious bovine pleuropneumonia and enzootic bovine leukosis.

These livestock sanitation campaigns are mandatory according to RD 2611/1996, of December 20, which regulates the National Programs for the Eradication of Animal Diseases.
Regularly carried out by Tragsatec for the Junta de Extremadura (Autonomous Government of Extremadura) since 1994, over the years they have gradually been incorporated into other related activities, such as the control of animal identification and the fight to eradicate bluetongue disease.
The presence of the Group's veterinary staff in the field has enabled the Group to participate in other related work with the National Program for the Official Control of the Food Chain and to support other health activities as important as the National Program for Monitoring Avian Influenza, the National Program for Monitoring Salmonella, the Equine Health Plan and the National Program for the Research of Veterinary Waste and Medicines, both in terms of administrative management as well as in the phase of laboratory work.
