Development of new tools in the planning of the fight against invasive alien species

Invasive alien species represent the second most significant environmental problem of the biosphere, and with global climate change their impact will increase even more. The objective of this project is to develop measures to combat and control these invasive species in a comprehensive manner. The project sets out to develop systems for collecting information on biological invasions and new tools for the processing of information and improving the fight against them (observatory, danger maps, etc). It also seeks to incorporate information and communication technologies (ICT) in the surveillance, monitoring and updating of basic information on biological invasions.
