Project: Execution of works for a wild ungulates breeding and acclimatisation centre in Mauritania Activity: Environment Product: CONSERVATION OF BIODIVERSITY Geographic data: Mauritania Start date: February 2016 End date: December 2016 The project consisted of the design and construction of an acclimatisation centre for gazelles in Idini (Mauritania) and complementary capture and training activities. A total of 4 enclosures with perimeter fencing were built, together with a support shed and equipment for the acclimatisation of various species of fauna: dorcas gazelle, dama gazelle, oryx, arax. In addition, support was provided to capture specimens and transport them to the centre and for the training of local personnel in the management of these species.
